The Sagas — River View

Two Tracks,
One Convergence

The diagnostic track explains the mechanism. The documentary track proves it happened before — and, in Saga XI, documents the same design choice arriving in the workplace now. Stream width is investigation count. Hover to inspect.

Twelve sagas. Eleven converge into The Everything (IV); the convergence transmutes into The Biological (XII).

of the program's twelve sagas · 384 investigations — the twelfth, The Biological, applies the completed argument off-chain
The convergence is rendered as a superconductive state — a visual metaphor for the completed argument conducting without loss once assembled. The lanes align and accelerate as the eleven become one current; nothing physical is claimed.
Diagnostic track — Sagas I–V
The mechanism, named
Five sagas that explain what is happening, why it is happening, what historical defenses existed, why they failed, and what reconstruction requires. The argument is built from first principles. Total: 140 investigations across five sagas.
Documentary track — Sagas VI–XI
The mechanism, proven
Six sagas that demonstrate the same mechanisms operating in the real world — through legal documents, internal records, and financial disclosures. Tobacco. Lead. Opioids. Instagram. The same signature — and Saga XI, where the choice is still being made. Total: 224 investigations across six sagas.
Saga IV — The Everything · The Convergence Point

The Convergence is the pivot of the entire program. It is where the diagnostic argument meets the documentary record — where the mechanism named in Sagas I–III is shown to be the same mechanism operating in Sagas VI–XI. The Lineage Question that follows asks the only question the convergence leaves open: not what is happening, and not whether it has happened before, but why it matters at the level beneath the pragmatic. What is at stake in a species that can build systems capable of degrading the cognition that built them?

The river shows where the material converges — in the chain of argument, The Everything is premise four.

The Biological
Does not join the convergence. It takes the completed gold program and applies its lens one level down — to the body — branching off and exiting the system as its own channel.

As the diagram shows: eleven streams (Sagas I–XI), each its own color, converge into one gold compound argument. A twelfth — The Biological — does not join that convergence; it branches from the completed program and runs off-chain, applying the argument's lens to the body.

The asymmetry between the tracks is not incidental. The diagnostic track is the leaner of the two — 140 investigations that establish the mechanism in precise argument. The documentary track is larger — 224 investigations that prove it happened in the real world with real institutions making real decisions. The diagnostic track is built to be load-bearing, not exhaustive: the argument is compressed so that the evidence can do its work. If you have read the diagnostic track, the documentary track is not a surprise. It is confirmation at scale.
