What it proposed: that the variable-reward design of feeds could affect the brain by analogy to addiction.
What went wrong: it asserted a measured molecular cascade, a 48-hour "irreversibility threshold," clinical staging, and treatment protocols — as fact.
What a factuality review found: none of those specifics was measured for screen exposure. They were extrapolated, and have been removed.
What honestly remains: a hypothesis-by-analogy, plus the reward-system framing and correlational neuroimaging — associations, not a proven cascade.
A series ICS is correcting in public. It once presented "digital neurotoxicity" as measured clinical science with a
molecular cascade, thresholds, and a clinical name; a factuality review found those
specifics were never measured for screen exposure. The fabricated specificity has been removed and the series reframed as an
