"Not god. Not society. Not consciousness. Currency — the operating system beneath everything this corpus has documented."
Every mechanism in this corpus — the tobacco suppression, the opioid epidemic, the attention extraction, the war market, the knowledge enclosure, the labor chain, the housing capture, the tax architecture, the corporate shell, the wellness inversion, the longevity market, the narrative manipulation, the autonomous weapons calculus — is a different expression of the same underlying logic. Not greed in the psychological sense. Not evil in the moral sense. A logic: the systematic conversion of every human capacity, relationship, need, and vulnerability into currency flows, at the expense of the human conditions that make those capacities and relationships possible in the first place.
The Currency Thesis does not claim that currency causes all problems. It claims something more precise: that when currency logic operates without adequate counterweight — without the political power of labor, the regulatory capacity of the state, the accountability of democratic institutions, the moral authority of shared norms — it subordinates every other system to its own reproduction. God was a counterweight. Society was a counterweight. Consciousness, properly cultivated and defended, is the counterweight this corpus is designed to support. That is what cognitive sovereignty means.
